JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are in search of a Safety Specialist who will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring safety on commercial solar installations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• General knowledge of project management, design, engineering, and maintenance fields.
• A thorough understanding of safety programs for construction projects.
• Monitoring labor efficiencies/needs, code compliance, work quality, and proper safety practices.
• Preparing and maintaining safety and compliance documentation.
• Assisting in setting safety objectives and developing training schedules.
• Verify that the job contains the correct safety products and quantities.
• Visit customer sites to verify measurements and perform preliminary site safety inspections.
• Recommend changes to the design and incorporate any changes requested by the customer.
• Review the safety standards with the construction team to ensure that all safety protocols are in adherence to requirements.
• Respond to customer, sales team, and project manager questions concerning safety.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Ability to use and instruct on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications with in-depth knowledge of the NEC codes
• Demonstrated track record of successful safety leadership with experience managing construction crews.
• Understanding OSHA standards and safety requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Office Software like word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
• Solar experience is a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

• Monday to Friday
