ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety and health excellence.
- Implement, motivate, educate and enforce ISC/OP safety and health policies. .
- Manage the safety training program and ensure training is completed on applicable safety bulletins, memos, Safety Alerts, safety and health procedures/programs.
- Ensure all departments are trained on proper use of tools and equipment to help aid in protecting employees from injury.
- Manage all aspects of safety reporting and maintain accurate, up to date records.
- Work with casino security to secure accident scenes, ensure the medical treatment of employee or guest.
- May assist in managing aspects of security for the facility.
- Manages and updates emergency response plan for both sites.
- Manage accident investigations, root cause analysis and related reporting.
- Manages worker compensation claims in partnership with human resources and communicates with insurance as necessary.
- Actively monitor work safety in the casino on a frequent basis. Conduct formal and informal safety reviews and follow-up reporting. When necessary, stop potential unsafe behaviors in the workplace observed and coach employees on the proper method. This should also include positive recognition for safe behaviors.
- Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with Team Members, Supervisors, other departments and external entities.
- Continually monitor the performance and effectiveness of the casinos safety program and implement adjustments and improvements as needed.

QualificationsEDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Safety, and/or Security preferred or 5 years in related field.
EXPERIENCE: 3 or more years of experience in a Safety/Risk Manager and/or Investigations Manager related field. Must possess knowledge of Microsoft including Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license. Must have a valid driver's license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to maneuver in a casino/ office /outdoor environment. Will stand/walk eight hours or more monitoring casino operations. Visual and audio acuity to observe and react toproblems, questions or concerns from guests and team members. This position requires standing, sitting, walking, moving/lifting up to 50-lbs; climbing, stooping, bending, crawling, kneeling, etc. Full range of physical mobility and manual dexterity. Also interfacing through phone (verbal/texting) and computer. Strong communications verbally and in writing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:Casino operation containing second hand smoke, high noise level and bright lights. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Perform work in a fast paced, busy and somewhat stressful environment. Problem solving ability is a must
