Job Summary:
Review, evaluate, and analyze work environments at all locations; ensure company Safety Policy adherence. Design, update, and coordinate safety programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent injury and disease (including a Health & Safety Plan for all locations).
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the enforcement of compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules & regulations.
- Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations. Plan and implement programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices at all locations.
- Write a company Health & Safety Plan per OSHA guidelines; individualize it at each location.
- Determine corrective or preventative measures and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
- Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.
- Investigate the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance.
- Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid supplies.
- Maintain inventories of hazardous materials or hazardous wastes, using waste tracking systems to ensure that materials are handled properly.
- Coordinate "right-to-know" programs regarding hazardous chemicals or other substances.
- Analyze incident data to identify trends in injuries, illnesses, accidents, or other hazards. Determine root causes for them and continuously adapt policies to reduce accidents and injuries.
- Keep current with new equipment and related safety regulations.
- Enforce proper use of Protective Protective Equipment (PPE) as well as rules for Forklift driving.
- Reward/recognize employees for taking outstanding safety initiatives and/or safety direction from Supervisors or the Safety Manager

Pay: $75,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
