The Office of National Mission coordinates and supports domestic ministries that serve congregations and schools through the districts of the Synod (Bylaw 3.8.2.3).
Reporting Relationships
The RSO Assistant reports to the Director, Social Ministry
Essential Job Functions
- Scanning RSO applications into digital files and note documents that are missing.
- Send out initial 2 RSO form letters.
- Reviewing RSO newsletters and documenting the best practices, new programs, etc. and filing them into the RSO files.
- Arranging RSO visits with the CEO/board and DP.
- Calling RSO requesting additional documentation, answering questions, etc.
- Assisting with moving forward with organizing RSO regional conferences.
Education and Experience
- Member, in good standing, of an LCMS congregation.
- Experience in an office or business setting.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Conversant with business communication through email and phone.
- Adept at dealing with confidential documents.
- Knowledgeable about computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite.
