What you will be doing: You will be responsible for working with clients on enhancing and extending their existing software. This includes design, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing changes across multiple platforms to meet specific project needs. Projects generally consist of RPG, RPG/Lansa, or RPG/.Net systems interactions.
In your day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Follow Fresche methodology for all projects keeping in mind industry standards and best practices when working on all projects.
- Assists in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems.
- Work with other developers on the team to help overcome technical obstacles and/or complete project goals; this sometimes includes working directly with clients to understand various impacts / business logic that need to be resolved so development can progress.
What you must have:
- 10+ years with a proven track record of IBM i (iSeries, AS/400)
- Strong background in multiple coding languages
- Effective communication with all levels of employees and management
- Eligibility to work in the US or Canada
