Position Overview:
As a Robotics Engineer at Snowbotix, you will play a pivotal role in the development of state-of-the-art robotic solutions for outdoor maintenance. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment, working closely with a talented team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Robotics Development: Contribute to the design, development, and testing of robotic systems for outdoor maintenance applications (mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronics system).
Software Development: Assist in coding and programming robots to perform specific tasks autonomously, including navigation and control systems.
Sensor Integration: Work on integrating various sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras, GNSS, etc.) to enhance robot perception and decision-making.
Prototyping: Collaborate in the assembly and testing of robot prototypes, providing valuable insights for improvements.
Testing and Evaluation: Conduct field tests to assess the performance and reliability of robotic systems, collecting data for analysis.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of software code, design changes, test results, and project progress.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with robots operating on real-time onboard processing.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver robotics software products deployed in the real world
- Strong passion for robotics and automation.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or ROS.
- Hands-on experience with robotic hardware, and software stack (MavLink, PX4, PLC, GStreamer, etc).
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
