Local Automation Machine Building company is seeking a Robot Engineer. Searching for experience programming Fanuc and ABB robotic cells in automated assembly stations, material handling and welding. The ideal candidate will also have PLC programming and design experience. This is a permanent position in the Grand Rapids, MI area.

Responsibilities for the Robotic Programmer position:
- Program robots for custom automation equipment.
- Development of weld path, schedules and procedures.
- Develop weld sequences and parameters.
- Program robotics to decrease cycle time.
- Work with Controls Engineers to integrate new and existing cells.
- Integrate with PLC’s and HMI’s.
- PLC programming.
- Aid in the design processes of welding production cells and fixtures.
- Review fixture designs for proper torch or gun access.
- Assist with the installation of new robotic cells support and train customer.
- Identify and solve problems with automated equipment.
Requirements for the Robotic Programmer position:
- 4 plus years of experience programming and troubleshooting Fanuc, ABB and/or Yaskawa Motoman Robots.
- Experience with offline programming, simulation software as well as path programming.
- Able to travel up to 15%.
Compensation and Benefits for the Robotic Programmer position:
- $85,000.00 to $105,000.00 /year.
