We are currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) Unit Manager / Supervisor.
Job Description:
Summary: Provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may also be required by the Director of Nursing to maintain the highest degree of quality care at all times.
What you will Do:
DESCRIPTION:
- Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing. The Head Nurse manages and is responsible for his/her Unit on a 24 hour basis.
- For the staff under the direction of the Head Nurse he/she evaluates their performance, resolves employee complaints and administers discipline when necessary.
- Additionally, for the group that he/she supervises, the Head Nurse is responsible for the quality of work, the productivity of the group, the morale of the work group, the expense for the area, the working relationship with physicians, and employee adherence to hospital and departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
- The Head Nurse will be expected to provide hands-on patient/resident care on his/her unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Monday – Friday
What you need:
- Willingness to make a difference!
- Active CPR certification
- Current RN license in the state
- Exceptional staff training and customer service skills
- Compassionate and friendly demeanor
Responsibilities of the RN Unit Manager:
- Supervision of support staff and licensed nurses
Requirements/Qualifications of the RN Unit Manager:
- Current Virginia RN license
- Current BLS certification
Experience
- Associates Degree
