SalaryCaraVita Academy is seeking an RN to work part-time to serve as Program Coordinator for our CNA training school. This is a wonderful opportunity to help shape future Certified Nursing Assistants and strengthen this very important field. Requirements of the Program Coordinator:
- · Registered Nurse (RN) with two (2) years of nursing experience
- · One (1) year of nursing experience as an RN must be in a long-term care facility (nursing home)
- · Must have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults and/or supervising nurse aides
Duties of the Program Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:
- · Overseeing the program in its entirety including retaining and supervision of instructor
- · Review all required documentation for the yearly on-site and/or desktop review
- · Assisting instructor in resolving any issues with students
- · Making occasional on-site visits to classroom/lab and clinical sites to ensure proper instruction is taking place and documenting progress related to those visits
- · Assisting with compilation of material presented for the approval or re-approval prior to submitting to the Georgia Nurse Aide Training Program
- · Attending the first clinical rotation with all first-time instructors without nursing home experience
- · Oversee in-facility test dates scheduled by the program
