Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will be part of a team that cares for all aspects of maternity and family care services including but not limited to antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care. You will provide a comfortable and safe environment that supports safe delivery for the mother and her newborn.
- You will perform antepartum testing to assess fetal well-being and become proficient with fetal monitoring interpretation.
- Part of the labor support will include you performing comforting measures, positioning and pain management techniques for your patient.
- You will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- You will also provide assessment and care of pediatric patients who are cared for on the unit.
- Coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team will also be part of your responsibilities.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of NH or valid compact state.
- BLS
- NRP within 1styear of hire
- PALS preferred
- 1-2 years Labor and Delivery experience required
