ATG Innovations is seeking a Risk Manager to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) implementation. This federal program supports advancement of the healthcare technology for American Indian and Alaskan Native communities across the nation, improving data access, system functionality, and enhanced patient experiences to elevate the quality of care.
Job Description:
As a Risk Manager for the IHS EHR deployment, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks associated with the implementation process. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of both risk management and issue management principles, including the ability to differentiate between proactive risk identification and mitigation strategies and reactive issue resolution tactics. Additional job responsibilities will require you to:
- Implement methodologies to identify potential risks associated with deployment activities for the EHR implementation, encompassing technical, operational, and regulatory dimensions.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, considering various scenarios and stakeholder perspectives to comprehensively evaluate potential vulnerabilities and threats.
- Develop and implement proactive mitigation strategies to address identified risks, minimizing their potential impact on project timelines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to swiftly address emergent issues and resolve challenges while maintaining alignment with project objectives.
- Establish robust monitoring mechanisms to track risk indicators, project milestones, and compliance metrics, facilitating timely interventions and course corrections as necessary.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing lessons learned, sharing best practices, and implementing enhancements to risk management processes and protocols.
- Document risk management activities, including risk registers, mitigation plans, issue logs, and compliance assessments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility for stakeholders
- Prepare concise and informative reports detailing risk assessment findings, mitigation strategies, issue resolution status, and compliance performance, providing stakeholders with actionable insights and transparency into risk management efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related business discipline.
- 5-8+ years of relevant risk management and mitigation experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher.
Preferred qualifications:
- PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
