Summary
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Manager will manage and drive the strategy for a specific risk function of the Firm. This position will provide guidance and best practice knowledge to build risk framework that is consistent across the Firm.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Manage risk area which includes an integrated risk-based approach for assessing and mitigating risks.
•Monitor and update risk framework to respond and adhere to new and existing regulatory guidelines and initiatives.
•Coordinate and deliver risk education and training programs for business units.
•Prepare and deliver reports to senior management detailing risks facing the Firm and describing risk reduction strategies.
•Ensure compliance with industry practices and market requirements involving the Firm’s products and services.
•Leads and manages the work of a team of Analysts responsible for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
•Some travel by car and/or air in conjunction with local, regional and/or national travel, up to 25%.
Qualifications
•Ability to speak with every level of employee including Executives and Board of Directors.
•Strong people management, internal consulting, and partnering skills.
•Ability to use reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
•Ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
•Strong industry participant with knowledge of best practices.
Education & Experience
•Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
•Minimum Required: 7+ years’ Enterprise Risk Management experience; 3+ years’ financial services industry experience
Systems & Technology
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
