Summary – Human Resources Onboarding Specialist
In this role you would play an impactful role helping to support the Human Resource Manager. Most of your Human Resource and Risk Management responsibilities would be centered around ensuring new hires and experienced employees alike all have the ability to operate within the construction industry safely and effectively.
Responsibility Summary – Human Resources Onboarding Specialist
- Employee onboarding – Onboard new employees inclusive of pre-employment screenings (i.e., drug tests, background check, MVR, physical assessments, etc.). Maintain new hire packets and compliance documentation.
- Safety Coordination – Maintain record of employee safety certifications and coordinate with supervisors to ensure all employees keep certifications active and current.
- Safety Training Administration – Help setup safety training as necessary.
- Safety Tracking – Help track, store, and maintain safety incidents and reports.
- New Hire Orientation – Provide new hire orientation to one or multiple employees at once.
- Recruiting – Help review and screen new applicants.
- Other tasks assigned by Human Resource Manager
Qualification Summary – Human Resources Onboarding Specialist
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to direct and achieve Human Resource and safety priorities, goals, and strategies with limited supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to read, analyze and interpret regulations and other documents.
- Self-starter with proven ability to prioritize Human Resource and safety coordination responsibilities
- Effective communication and listening skills with strong problem solving and analytical skills to solve Human Resource and safety coordination challenges
- Excellent follow-up skills, keen attention to detail, and a dedication to high quality/accurate work.
Requirements – Human Resources Onboarding Specialist
- High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor degree in Human Resources or business management preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, employee onboarding, or safety coordination
- Proficient knowledge of computers and associated software (Human Resource and safety tracking software experience preferred)
