Risk Management Assistant
First Dakota National Bank is hiring a full-time Risk Management Assistant to join our Sioux Falls team. This person will assist in the ongoing monitoring of credit quality and compliance with lending policies and procedures. Also assist in the compilation of the monthly, quarterly and annual portfolio reports and updating department policies and procedures as deemed necessary. Hours include Monday-Friday 8-5.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Assist in preparation of branch and/or horizontal loan reviews. This may include preparing ‘line sheets’ for each credit, gathering credit approval documents and any other information that would be helpful in conducting the loan reviews, such as past due, non-accrual and overdraft reports.
  • Assist in the loan review process by reviewing selected loans for compliance with loan policy, the approval process, laws, and regulations.
  • Assess selected loans for appropriate documentation, general underwriting, monitoring and performance and risk rating accuracy.
  • Assist in the compiling of Risk Management Summary Reports.
  • Complete lender authority reviews.
  • Assist with the compilation of data for the quarterly analysis of the Allowance for Credit Losses.
  • Assist with creation, preparation, compilation, and distribution of monthly Credit Risk Committee Reports and quarterly Board Credit Risk Reports.
  • Assist in compilation of monthly risk rating changes on the LER in conjunction with monthly reporting.
  • Assist with the compilation of monthly reports on trends in watch, SM, and classified loans.
  • Assist in the compilation of information regarding compliance with the bank’s lending policy.
  • Assist in the Vendor Management process.
  • Assist with Model Risk Management.
  • Assist in completion of large loan pre-closing documentation reviews.
  • Assist in completion of entity documentation reviews.
  • Assist CRO with OREO monitoring, including insurance tracking and issuance.
  • Assist CRO and Vice President of Risk Management with other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • College degree preferred

  • Math Ability:
