Job Description
We have an immediate opening for an Engineering Product Test Engineer to support Hoist & Winch test activities at our aerospace location in Anaheim, CA. Your 3+ years of engineering experience is responsible for leading Product Testing activities for the engineering team and ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct product confirmation testing in the lab, followed by qualification testing, and coordinate with test laboratories to perform qualification testing for rotorcraft hardware, primarily hoist and winches, as listed in DO-160.
- Create Test Procedures, Test Reports and Qualification by Similarity Reports, and analyze product improvements.
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and procedures for assigned projects
- Coordinate and manage Product Testing activities, including scheduling and resource allocation
- Analyze and interpret test results, providing detailed reports and recommendations to the engineering team and relevant departments
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical support and guidance to junior test Engineers and technicians
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, production, and supply chain, to ensure successful completion of projects
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of testing equipment and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to Product Testing and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Lead and manage complex projects, including project planning, risk management, and budget management
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, testing labs, and certification organizations.
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Product Testing coordination and project management
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and testing processes
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with industry standards and regulations related to Product Testing
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
