Revenue Cycle Department Manager

Pacific NW

Join a busy Hospital and Clinic system that is growing their financial department to handle the revenue growth being generated. As the Revenue Cycle Department Manager, you will design and implement financial strategies to manage patient accounts and streamline payment/reimbursement systems. Develops all policies and procedures for the department, recommends policy changes and adjusts in accordance with organizational policy. Works closely with the HIM Manager to maintain financial data integrity. This position reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle.

Stats:

  • Oversight: Billing, Customer Services & Patient Financial Counseling, Insurance follow up and collections, denials management and case management.
  • Facilities: 1 hospital and 3 clinics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare or related field., required.
  • Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration, preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience required.
  • 10+ years of previous experience in patient financial services, HIM, Revenue Integrity, or Patient Access experience, required.
  • Experience in analyzing data, review processes, and mining Revenue Cycle information systems to get at financial data.
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations relating to medical billing and payments, required. Proactively keeping up with changing federal and state regulations to mentor team with any changes and to keep the organization in compliance, required.
  • Advanced relationship building with inter-organizational teams and external stakeholders preferred.
  • Experience with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services within a Critical Access Facility strongly preferred.
