Position Overview:
As a Revenue Cycle Manager, you will manage one of our back-end Revenue Cycle teams to ensure that the healthcare practices we serve are accurately and quickly reimbursed for their services; thus increasing revenue and decreasing the time providers spend on administrative functions, which means more time devoted to patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Lead, coach, mentor, train, manage, and hold accountable a team Patient Account Representatives to deliver high quality, reliable, efficient Revenue Cycle services
- Build strong relationships with the providers we serve, establishing yourself as a trusted partner
- Identify, measure, and report on key performance indicators such as quality, timeliness, and client experience
- Identify and design opportunities for team training and skills advancement, promoting an environment of knowledge sharing
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements; continually look for better ways to serve our clients; staying abreast of new trends, developments, technologies, and best practices
Revenue Cycle
- Triage, assign staff to work, and track status of claims that are returned for more information or other hold reasons
- Work with the Orthos leadership team to implement controls and initiatives to reduce number of claims in hold and overall A/R
- Manage performance of staff with reference to claims worked in hold
- Directly execute remediation for complex, high-dollar claims (work claims by exception)
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Coding staff as needed to diagnose and resolve issues
- Provide guidance and operational approvals to billing and pre-cert staff, escalating to Sr. Director, Revenue Cycle as appropriate
- Identify any points of friction in the Revenue Cycle process and resolve them
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred, but not required
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle management, including experience managing billing and collections staff
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and Revenue Cycle processes and regulations
- Experience with electronic medical records and billing systems
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems that require input from various stakeholder in innovative ways
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
