Summary
In this new, fully remote position, you’ll support our efforts to manage revenue in a professional services environment. Your previous experience in similar companies will help us properly recognize and manage pass-through revenue models and will help our team to establish best practices in our accounting function. You’ll also lead (not just manage) a small team of individual contributors, fostering a culture that encourages the highest level of performance, integrity, and ethical actions.

What you'll do
- You’ll support our efforts to maximize revenue, improve financial visibility and control, and manage costs
- Meeting month-end close deadlines, providing financial results in a timely manner, risk mitigation, and reducing material weaknesses are all part of the position
- You’ll also manage, train, and coach a team of 2-3 accounting professionals
Key functions
- Establish, implement, and enforce financial and reporting policies and standards in compliance with GAAP and FASB and the requirements of other applicable regulatory bodies
- Perform and supervise month-end close tasks as assigned including preparation and review of revenue recognition entries
- Consolidation of multiple entities revenue, including elimination of intercompany transactions
- Supervision of invoicing and collections processes for multiple entities
- Month-end analysis of revenue and client profitability
- Monthly revenue forecasting and projections
- Assist in managing divisional accounting team ensuring compliance with company’s policies and objectives.
- Ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial statements and reporting, and to ensure that policies and procedures meet other organizational objectives and needs.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures / policies
- Interface with company’s external auditors.
- Foster a culture that encourages the highest level of performance, integrity and ethical behavior and cooperation in all business activities.
- Undertake special projects and/or general management assignments as requested by senior management.
Your qualifications
- BS/BA in Finance or Accounting
- 6-8 years work experience in an accounting environment
- Extensive experience with NetSuite or equivalent
- 3-4 years of direct-line people management experience, with experience in building high performing teams
- Experience and expertise in revenue reporting for professional services businesses (digital marketing preferred), including completion, fixed, commission based, deferred revenue and WIP
- Financial closing, consolidations, reporting and planning experience

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000-$115,000. Actual compensation offered will range by experience and location.
