Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our warehouse team as a Returns Clerk. The Returns Clerk will be responsible for processing and managing returns efficiently and accurately. This role involves coordinating with various departments, handling paperwork, inspecting returned items, and maintaining detailed records. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be proficient in using computer systems, and have a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming returns promptly and accurately.
- Inspect returned items for damages or defects.
- Determine the appropriate disposition of returned items (restocking, repair, disposal, etc.).
- Coordinate with other departments (such as customer service, inventory, and quality control) to ensure timely processing of returns.
- Accurately document all return transactions in the system, including reasons for return, condition of items, and final disposition.
- Generate reports on return trends, reasons for return, and any recurring issues.
- Assist with inventory management by updating stock levels and locations based on returned items.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding return status and resolution.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or returns processing role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures within a warehouse setting is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
