TITLE:
Retention and Resource Navigator

REPORTS TO:
Executive Director

LOCATION:
Simi Valley, CA

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt Employee

Career Team is looking to hire a Retention and Resource Navigator that will be responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and distributing mail. The Retention and Resource Navigator is the first contact for Job Seekers to provide professional and employer-focused outreach to engage customers in career development and educational pathways that lead to gainful employment and self-sufficiency.

Your Impact on Career TEAM's Success:

  • Serve as primary initial liaison between customer and company via telephone, email, and mail
  • Answer phones and operate various office machines
  • Route calls to specific people
  • Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable
  • Call persons waiting for visitors and book them a room to meet in
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy
  • Coordinate mail flow in and out of the office
  • Coordinate office activities
  • Re-engage clients by discussing the range of available services and the potential benefits
  • Maintain updated customer database and track customer engagement in services, accurately document outreach activities in the State database
  • Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset
  • Other duties and projects as needed

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Proven experience as a front desk representative, agent, or relevant position
  • Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer, etc.)
  • Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
  • Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A Valid Driver's License

Additional Skills/Knowledge Career TEAM Would Love for This Role:

  • Associates degree
  • Experience and knowledge of WIOA workforce development contracts/programs
  • Astounding ability to multitask and be proactive

Salary: $55,000 - $58,000

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Career TEAM offers a competitive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and personal/vacation time
