Retail Sales & Support Analyst

Job Description
The Retail Sales Support analyst has responsibility for identifying solutions within numerous data sets and has the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for the retail division of the Bank. He/she will work closely with the director of Retail Banking as well as Finance and Analytics to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. They will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for the Retail division. Accountabilities include participation in the development and maintenance of branch sales, operational, and incentive reporting. This position requires high degree of data quality, report preparation and communication with multiple business lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes branch activities, procedures, systems, and other data necessary in identifying opportunities for improvement in the Retail division.
• Provides analytical support to management to track branch performance, develop strategic plans for growth, monitor incentives, and maintain budgets.
• Assists retail management in preparation of annual budgets and strategic plan.
• Assesses current practices and documents, records, and reviews findings with Retail management. Based on assessment, makes recommendations for improvements, which may include establishing new procedures and/or reporting.
• Participates in analyzing business needs and creating proformas and working with Finance when making new branch recommendations.
• Works collaboratively with all areas of the bank representing Retail in the successful implementation of new systems and procedures.
• Promotes, tracks, and ensures compliance requirements are met by implementing appropriate data collection, reporting, and/or recordkeeping processes.
• Reconcilement of quarterly incentive plan.
• Reviews for department efficiencies and recommends changes as needed for continual improvement.
• Creates ad-hoc presentations, manages internal Retail web page, and provides administrative support.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Thorough understanding of business and Retail management principles, especially those involved in strategic planning and the allocation of resources.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and create metrics, reports, tools and other resources to quantify and analyze results.
• Strategic, financial and analytical strengths.
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to constructively collaborate with all levels within the organization.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree highly desired or equivalent experience/combined education required
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field required
• 2-3 years' experience as an analyst, auditor, or similar role preferred.
• 2-3 years' experience within a financial institution, Retail Banking preferred
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
