JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Coordinator is a vital member of Global Merchandise's supply chain. The perfect candidate for this role should possess significant expertise in data entry, order procurement, and purchasing. The primary objective of this position is to ensure that Global Merchandise can effectively receive and ship orders promptly.

Excellent data-entry skills are required for this role in addition to excellent multi-tasking abilities. A substantial working knowledge of Microsoft 365 is necessary. The ability to take instruction is paramount, along with the timely management of a varied workload, with pressing deadlines and priorities.  This individual must be highly efficient, dedicated to the task at hand and must be able to communicate effectively, have the tenacity to problem-solve and work as a team player.  Additional data entry, spreadsheet maintenance and other tasks is to be also required.

MAIN PURPOSE:

Supervise the day-to-day responsibilities of order processing, which involve entering orders into the company's ERP system, procuring the necessary components to fulfill retail orders, collaborating with the AP team, and working with the Retail sales team to ensure prompt and efficient order fulfillment. Additionally, oversee the management of in-stock blank inventory across multiple warehouses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Enter PO’s and SO’s into Navision and circulate with print vendors and blank vendors. Update Production WIP with PO and SO numbers related to Global’s Retail Accessories and Cut & Sew programs.
  • Ensure that all order components are purchased i.e., Blank tee shirts, hang tags, size strips, price tags, etc.
  • Goods In Receiving involves arranging shipping documents for submission to the Retail Sales team for invoicing and streamlined order fulfillment. It also involves receiving and delivering Top of Production (TOP Samples) and Contractual samples to the appropriate party.
  • Months-ends accounting clean up: Receive POs in the company’s ERP system, clean out MRO’s and transfer scraps to the SCRAP location. Working with accounting department to facilitate production department needs; providing information as required, delivery note, credit memos, vendor payments.
  • Carry out ad hoc data entry and purchasing responsibilities for Contract Print.
  • Brainstorm new processes that promote efficiencies with order ingestion. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ Years of Data Entry Experience
  • Order processing experience with a high level of data entry accuracy.
  • Familiar with accounting and invoicing practices, including reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is mandatory
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to use computer keyboard up to 80% of the day.
  • Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
