Sodexo is hiring our Retail Manager for Dining Services for Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. Our Retail Manager's primary role will be as a team builder and manager for growing our Catering services, overseeing our Einstein's Bros Bagels and Convenience Store, and Concessions. Our successful leader will manage hiring, training and scheduling the front line team and mentor them into our next generation of salaried managers.

Reporting to our General Manager, the Retail Manager will manage a team of 30-40 Full Time and Student Employees. This opportunity allows the manager to put their stamp on these retail areas and is a perfect way to grow your supervisor/lead experience into a management role!
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
- 2-3 years experience in food retail supervision, catering background a plus!
- Ability to handle catering at all levels from students to executives and grow internal and external catering business.
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent leadership/team building skills
- Professional demeanor is required

- Have previous 2-3 years Food management in a university setting or other high-volume dining. Experience in other food retail, concessions and/or catering a plus or are a plus.
- Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference - quality and presentation of food - customer service
- Have a proven track record of leadership, developing/mentoring/training employees
- Be customer focused- including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment

Position SummaryResponsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Qualifications & RequirementsBasic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience - 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
