Job Description
The San Pasqual Economic Development Corporation is looking for experienced Team Members for multiple work shifts at the restaurant in Valley Center. Responsible for providing service that invites interaction with our guests by creating orders as requested and educating guests about the menu. Ensures that the restaurant is clean and always inviting guests and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acknowledges, engages and interacts with guests and other Team Members; anticipates and exceeds guests' needs
- Processes orders accurately by using the point-of-sale system
- Receives cash and credit card payments and issues receipts or change to guest, responsible for overages and shortages, accuracy and security
- Addresses guest needs and concerns as they relate to order preparation and payment processing
- Creates guest orders as requested and ensures the accuracy and excellent presentation of each order
- Frequently cleans the service line, equipment; maintains overall restaurant cleanliness
- Prepares, creates and maintains food according to specifications by using approved recipes, proper portioning and food prep logs/tools
- Replenishes food in serving stations
- Enjoys being part of a team and helping others
- Maintains restaurant brand image by ensuring the consistent delivery of excellent food quality, restaurant cleanliness, and excellent guest service
Education, Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous restaurant kitchen experience in food prep/food line helpful
- Must possess a Food Handler Card/ or be able to obtain one
- Drive-thru restaurant experience a plus
- Ability to communicate in English is required; Spanish comprehension is helpful
- Fundamental reading, writing, math and computer/PCS skills are required
- Must have access to adequate transportation to and from job site
- Must be available and willing to work a variety of days/times including weekends, evenings and overtime
The San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians are of the Kumeyaay people, is a community of 1,500 residents near Valley Center. Indigenous to Southern California, the Kumeyaay-Ipai Band returned to settle in what is now San Diego and Imperial counties.
