- Daily Operations Management: Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, including fiscal budgets, labor productivity, scheduling, inventory control, and guest service standards.
- Business Planning and Execution: Execute the restaurant's business plan, assist the General Manager in developing tactics to achieve goals, and ensure the execution of F&B and company-wide initiatives.
- Policy Implementation and Compliance: Implement and enforce policies, operating procedures, training programs, and rules for restaurant staff and ensure compliance with company standards, including health, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Initiative Ownership: Own the execution of food and beverage and/or company-wide initiatives and programs within the restaurant.
- Human Resources Management: Assist the General Manager with creating a positive work environment, performance feedback, recognition, and adherence to diversity commitment and ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, employment law, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Guest Interaction and Satisfaction: Interact with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of the dining experience. Address guest complaints promptly and take appropriate action and manage the restaurant's guest feedback channels following approved company practices.
- Collaboration with Culinary Team: Work alongside the culinary team to ensure a seamless service experience between the kitchen and dining room.
- Product and Menu Knowledge: Maintain excellent knowledge of the venue's food & beverage products, menu items, and equipment.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- Two (2) or more years of prior relevant experience in a high-volume restaurant or in a luxury or fine-dining restaurant..
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT?
- Complete knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of all products, menu items and equipment used to perform these duties.
- Working knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and operations.
- Ability to execute on guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and other outside contacts.
