Job Title: Resource Planner

Summary
The Resource Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the allocation of resources, including materials, personnel, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution and delivery. They will work closely with other departments to understand project requirements, assess resource availability, and develop resource allocation plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates Engineering, Production, and start-up schedules for projects.
- Determines staffing allocation for the above departments.
- Works with Purchasing and Engineering to determine when raw materials are needed to cover production demand.
- Develops and manages Production schedules based on demand forecasts, available resources, and Production capacity.
- Identifies and addresses potential bottlenecks or capacity constraints, adjusting schedules as needed.•Works with Purchasing to confirm lead times, adjusting Production schedules to accommodate delivery times.
- Generates regular reports on Production performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery and Engineering, Production, and start-up utilization.
- Uses enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to input and update Engineering, Production, and start-up plans, ensuring accurate data availability.
- Works with Sales to forecast future capacity.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communication and information, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and co-workers.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Knowledge of Internet software; Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Project, etc.); Inventory software; Order processing systems; ERP system experience required.
- Careful attention to detail, with strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Well organized and conducts self professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four to six years related experience and/or training.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand and walk.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
