Strategic Planning is foundational to the Emerson management process. This team has strong connectivity throughout the entire global organization and provides a tremendous opportunity for a candidate to elevate their career within Emerson. As the Human Resources Strategic Planner for Measurement Solutions, based out of Shakopee, MN, you will work closely with the VP Human Resources and the full business unit (BU) HR leadership team to implement the People Strategy required for delivering business results.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
HR Strategy & Planning
- Work closely with the HR VP on strategy and management processes for HR and coordinate with other organizations, such as Finance, to successfully implement cross-functional processes, programs and initiatives
- Assess business strategy and existing talent to identify gaps and needs for the short-term and long-term
- Analyze strategic positions of Measurement Solutions HR capabilities to peers and competitors in areas of Recruiting, Talent Development, Compensation & Benefits, People Analytics and Diversity & Inclusion
- Research standard methodologies and leading trends in HR, providing insights on applying them
- Prepare for and host HR Strategy Sessions
- Assess and communicate world economic and legislative environments impacting HR
- Maintain strategic relationships with various outside agencies and strategic partners with regard to HR
Talent Management
- Assist in the preparation of Organization Review working with the Presidents and World Areas to help build plans
- Consolidate the Organization Review spreadsheets for analysis on group level metrics such as: demographics, ready replacement ratios, succession status, ready for new role, etc.
- Identifies long-term business trends and their impact on the talent needs of the future; develops initiatives and programs to address talent needs pro-actively
- Be responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of People Development Strategies
- Own and supervise the Leadership Pipeline, identify gaps and build organizational capability accordingly
- Maintain and update performance management systems and processes
Diversity & Inclusion
- Build and lead diversity and inclusion dashboards to assess trends, progress, and opportunities
- Research, analyze, and develop tools as needed to enable D&I initiatives and assessments

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Relevant years of HR experience combined with education commensurate with the level of the position.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, both domestic & international
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Proven experience in project management
- Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
