Position: Resident Project Representative
Location: Evansville, In
In order to be successful you should have:
The RPR will primarily have an office job based in Evansville. Commuting up to approximately 45-60 minutes may be required.
Fieldwork is also a significant component of the role, with approximately 60% of the RPR's time spent on-site.
The RPR may work on transportation projects involving road lighting and complete replacement of infrastructure.
Additionally, there may be opportunities to work on the renovation of facilities.
Responsibilitiesinclude, but not limited to:
- Conduct thorough inspections of transportation and utility infrastructure construction work to ensure compliance with construction standards and specifications.
- Document field observations, including daily reports outlining performed work, field measurements, and computations for the quantity of completed work eligible for payment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge or ability to gain working knowledge of quality requirements for construction materials
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred:
- Previous INDOT, KYTC, or local agency construction inspection experience is preferred
- INDOT Certified Technician, Qualified Technician, and SiteManager Certification are preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills are highly valued in this role.
