Job Summary

Provide a wide range of services in support of Research Programs that focus on advanced research, technologies, workforce development, and portfolios. Organize, troubleshoot, and monitor reporting program activities/progress, and business development. Promote unit research products and services to various audiences and manage program budgets. Provide cross-functional team leadership while engaging staff for team participation.
This position will interact on a regular basis with Unit and program/project management, research staff/faculty and administrative personnel, vendors, and potential and active sponsors
This position typically will advise and counsel: Unit, program/project management, research staff/faculty, sponsors/vendors

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Manage and grow assigned Research Programs and projects
Job Duty 2 -
Organize and lead active and potential sponsor engagement, business development, analysis, and reporting
Job Duty 3 -
Actively seek out and develop new potential sponsor and partner contacts via networking, cold-calling, and other methods
Job Duty 4 -
Contribute to proposals and road mapping
Job Duty 5 -
Formulate and manage program budgets
Job Duty 6 -
Manage department and assigned research laboratories
Job Duty 7 -
Coordinate and manage program-related events, summer programs, and promotions
Job Duty 8 -
Consult and advise unit and research partners
Job Duty 9 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five to seven years of job-related experience

ABILITIES
This job requires travel 10% - 25% or more of the time
SKILLS
RELATED SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
o Multi-site research center management, research project reporting and budgets, advanced
manufacturing, as well as development and administration of technology and data control
plans.
o Research project/program management, business development, client relations, cross-functional
teams, customer service, and technology specific skills to assigned areas of operations.
Organizational, communications, presentation, proposal writing, event planning
and use of office and specialized computer applications.

Other Information

Job Grade: A10

Salary Range or Pay Range: $69,959.00 to $95,145.00

Salary will commensurate with experience and education.

Location: Atlanta, GA

Working Arrangement: Hybrid¿(Will discuss schedule during interview)

Other Information

The Research Program Manager (RPM) will support a research center within the Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology, one of Georgia Tech's Interdisciplinary Research Institutes. The RPM will be responsible for sponsor interactions (including NDA's, center membership agreements), center communications (such as newsletters, web presence), event management and coordination, and will serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the center.
