Research Finance Manager

Summary: The Research Finance Manager is responsible for analytical and financial activities of the Research Network, which includes research billing, payment reconciliation, tracking performance and account receivables
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to verify that all required documentation is in place to bill studies
- Ability to understand payment requirements and billing benchmarks for all open studies
- Invoice Sponsors for all research activity, including pass through Costs and study visits, per the clinical trial contracts
- Ability to track all billed invoices and follow up with study sponsors in an organized fashion
- Ability to track and post receivables to appropriate patient accounts
- Prepare required reports including A/R aging and month end reconciliations
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely fashion
- Answer A/R inquires and follow-up
- Provide reconciliation for payments to practices in a timely fashion
- All other duties as assigned
Data Analysis
- Analyze financial data and benchmark data to previous quarters and other research facilities
- Provide financial projections to Director of Research and research leadership team

Education and Experience
- Accounting degree and experience, preferably in clinical research setting
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Experience with CTMS (Clinical Trial Management Systems)
Physical Requirements
- Able to work at a desktop computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to distinguish and transcribe letters and numbers without transposition
- Full body range of motion including handling and lifting up to 20 pounds
