SalaryThe Jaeb Center for Health Research is seeking an experienced Research Budget and Finance Manager to oversee the preparation and management of Research Budgets for Clinical Research projects. Responsibilities include:
- Developing budgets and other necessary budget documentation for grant submissions and contract proposals for industry-funded projects, including detailed budget justifications.
- Updating, assessing, and forecasting budgets for projects funded through grants or contracts.
- Monitoring budget variances and planning appropriate adjustments.
- Developing payment schedules that appropriately consider JCHR’s revenue recognition and cash management needs.
- Entering and managing budgets in the ERP system.
- Preparing financial reports to submit to funding entities.
- Serving as lead administrative support for clinical trials for budget-related items.
- Develop corporate SOPs related to research project budgeting and associated compliance.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Outstanding math skills.
- General proficiency with other Microsoft applications (Word, Teams, and Outlook).
- Experience reconciling internal financial records and reports.
- Previous accounting and/or grant reporting experience.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Effective budget management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across department, disciplines, and personalities.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience with budget preparation and management.
- Baccalaureate degree in public health, business, or related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Salary will be commensurate with degree and experience and will range from $70,000-$85,000 annually plus an excellent benefits package. This is a fully remote, work-from-home position and as such, relocation to the Tampa Bay area is not a requirement.
