Help design and develop AI and autonomous systems to assist humans in complex tasks and assess human performance. RTX BBN Technologies is seeking a scientist/engineer with a breadth of expertise in architecting and building full stack software applications involving autonomous systems and sensor data across varied user interfaces (e.g., desktop, mobile, augmented reality). The ideal candidate will join our team of talented scientists and engineers and be at the forefront of creating new and exciting technologies that will advance the state-of-the-art in mixed-initiative, multi-agent autonomy.
What you will do
- Work on algorithms involving multi-agent autonomous systems
- Work with computer vision libraries and machine learning tools like OpenCV and Yolo
- Work with a small team on cutting-edge research and development projects
- Design and develop prototype software using the latest open-source technologies
- Receive and incorporate feedback from end users, field tests, and exercises
- Explore technical possibilities collaboratively with motivated, world class colleagues
- Deliver practical solutions to complex problems
- Participate in publications
What you need
- Master's in computer science (or related field) and 0-2 years of direct experience or Bachelor's in computer science (or related field) and 2+ years of direct experience.
- Must be able to commute to office in Cambridge, MA. Relocation assistance is available to the successful candidate.
- Strong programming skills and experience with Java, C++ and Python
- Passion for software engineering practices
- Creative problem solving and ability to build rapid prototypes
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Linux
- Position may require some amount of overnight travel
- The ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. A willingness to apply and US citizenship are required.
Additional Skills that would be AWESOME:
- Experience with ROS, OpenCV or Unity
- Experience training machine learning systems such as Yolo
- Experience with machine learning CNN and DNN systems
- Interest and experience with software configuration management

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
