Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience: planning, developing, and preparing research in fields of defense, military strategy, security cooperation, and related subject matters and identifying research objectives and methodologies to answer research questions at the operational and strategic levels.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.Education: Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards. Applicants must possess a:
- Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
- Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study as described above.
