Idaho National Laboratory Business Management group is seeking to hire a Requirements Management Specialist.

The Requirements Management Specialist will be part of the Business Process Architecture organization and the Requirements Management team. This team enables Research & Development and Management & Operations programs and functions by maintaining alignment of federal requirements and contractual obligations.

This team works a 9x80 schedule out of our Idaho Falls offices with every other Friday off. Hybrid work opportunities may be available for this position.

Responsibilities include:

       Develop and maintain the integrity of the INL Business Process Architecture infrastructure, specifically as it relates to Requirements Management.

       Assist in the facilitation of Requirements Management for the Lab.

       Identify process and integration inefficiencies and improvement opportunities for the Requirements Management tool

       Participate in assessments to deliver excellence to Requirements Management.

       Assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate documentation to deliver a robust Requirements Management tool (training, user guides, change management plan).

       Guide Program Requirement Owners, Functional Requirement Leads in organizing requirements to be entered the Requirements Management tool.

       Assist Program Requirement Owners, Functional Requirement Leads with requirements implementation and mapping.

       Support INL in gathering requirement information to guide successful integration.

       Assist Program Requirement Owners, Functional Requirement Leads in understanding the Requirements Management tool by providing learning experiences and actively communicating expectations.

       Contribute to the design and implementation of data analytics that minimize requirement risk.

       Assist in the delivery of data solutions that involve technical complexity and the use of imaginative, simple data analytic reports and visualizations for a variety of business needs.

       Produce standard reports/data artifacts related to Requirements Management.

       Analyze and monitor accepted and implemented requirements using system tools/reports. 

Desired Qualities:

       Experience in analyzing data to communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

       Ownership and creativity: Participate in implementing the Requirements Management Strategy with innovation, ownership, and excellence.

       Facilitator and communicator: Ability to work with multiple organizations within INL, and convey information in concise, easy to understand terms.

       Request and receive detailed process information (specifically as it relates to Requirements Management) from INL system and process owners and subject matter experts

       Familiarity with, or capability to learn contract language, laws, regulations, and directives

Minimum Requirements: 

  • PR0200 - B. S. in Business or Technical Related Field and 2 years experience or Advanced degree and 1 year of related experience.

  • PR0300 - B. S. in Business or Technical Related Field and 5 years experience or Advanced degree and 3 years of related experience.  

Job Information: 

  • PR0200-Salary Grade 190 ($70,680- $116,616)

  • PR0300 Salary Grade 200 ($81,288 -$134,100)
