Responsibilities:
-Checking patients in and out of their telemedicine appointments
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide administrative support to medical staff as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, (e.g., Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, Athena preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with handling emergency situations (e.g., ER protocols)
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy rights
