THE INSURANCE SUPERVISOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING A TEAM OF INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVES.
THE INSURANCE SUPERVISOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING PRODUCTION STANDARDS AS WELL AS ENSURING DAILY, WEEKLY, AND MONTHLY PERFORMANCE GOALS. THIS IS A FEE PRODUCING POSITION WHEREBY COMMISSIONS IS BASED UPON PERFORMANCE OF ASSIGNED AGENT GOALS, GROUP GOALS, DEPARTMENTAL, AND COMPANY GOALS.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for administrative functions of the Insurance department
- Produces and reviews standard reports to verify efficiency within assigned area
- Coaches, trains, and develops staff
- Maintains incentive and contest ideas that result in performance advancement
- Motivates the collection staff, in order to help them succeed in hitting their daily goals
- Performs monthly quality reviews of assigned staff to ensure compliance with departmental policies and workflow standards
- Reviews reports to identify opportunities to reduce errors and obtain reimbursement
- Communicates department status and outlines workflow and process improvement opportunities to billing manager
- Manages inventory
- Responsible for responding to client emails and required client reporting
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates the ability to coach, motivate, and provide performance feedback to staff in accordance with department heads expectations
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of experience in healthcare insurance collections; supervisory capacity preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
