Our engineers ensure that our products meet agency and internal standards, while constantly developing new predictive models to detect potential failures. We support them with a strong team that helps develop and document test protocols to prevent anything from going wrong.
What you will do:
- Key contributor in the New Product Development process to ensure the reliability of the product is statistically validated.
- Perform routine on-site reliability testing of products, components and materials.
- Develop and document protocol for reliability test methods and reporting.
- Prepare summary reports of test outcomes and recommend corrective action as required. Maintain report files.
- Design, implement, and perform reliability demonstration tests to verify designs will meet warranty and reliability requirements.
- Install new test equipment for the reliability department. Assist in developing and documenting methods and protocol for use of new equipment.
- Participate in product design reviews to verify that appropriate testing has been passed and that all specifications standards and codes have been met.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0-3 years of engineering experience
- Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel
- Effective use of appropriate problem-solving tools to drive root cause analysis and improvements
- Able to perform routine/detailed engineering calculations and tests in a reliability environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis and decision making, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, design of experiments, analysis of variance, process capability, tolerance interval development, and parametric reliability prediction models
- Experience and demonstrated use of FMEA during product and/or process development
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
