Salary

This position pays an average of $64.28/hour on up, depending on experience.

Description of Role:

SRI Telecom is actively seeking a Telco Cloud Reliability Engineer who possesses demonstrated proficiency in deploying and overseeing private, hybrid, and AWS cloud configurations tailored specifically for 5G Core NFs. This pivotal position is crucial to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our state-of-the-art 5G network's cloud infrastructure and IP transport network.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, improve, and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) infrastructure solutions on AWS in collaboration with the operations team.
• Create and manage Prometheus/Grafana metrics and dashboards, including alerting for production clusters.
• Assist 5G NF Engineers in creating and implementing Helm charts for application deployments.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Design, and Deployment teams to understand HLDs and LLDs for 5G SA network cloud environments.
• Optimize AWS infrastructure for scalability and efficiency.
• Assist with integration of authentication and authorization protocols for IAM and Comcast Corporate Security (CCS) compliance.
• Document incidents in the Comcast ticketing systems and manage escalation processes as needed.
• Perform proactive troubleshooting & performance analysis of applications, services, and cloud environments.
• Ensure services meet security, stability, performance, and availability requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• 5+ years' experience in cloud operations, preferably in an AWS environment.
• Previous experience in DevOps, Systems engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering.
• Technical understanding of key telco technologies such as CPU Pinning, NUMA, SRIOV, DPDK, etc.
• Demonstrated competency with AWS services
• Hands-on experience resolving issues on Linux, Openstack, and Kubernetes platforms
• Working knowledge of Linux, Openstack, and Kubernetes networking supporting large wireless networks.
• Experience upgrading and securing scalable infrastructure with Kubernetes clusters hosted in EKS.
• Cloud DevOps Engineer certifications - Highly preferred
• Juniper, Arista, or Dell switches and routers knowledge
• Nokia 5G SA products knowledge
