The Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse is responsible for providing care for patients ranging from pediatric, adolescent, young-adult, adult and geriatric. The PACU nurse provides care provides care effectively and efficiently, addressing psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care specific to the PACU environment. The PACU nurse communicates with the surgeon, anesthesiologists and staff members as appropriate, and is able to work in a critical care environment and respond appropriately to patient emergencies and needs.
Requirements
- Requires associates degree in nursing; BSN preferred
- Requires current Florida Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Requires minimum of 3 years experience in acute care PACU/Recovery.
- Requires American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS prior to hire.
