The Everglades Youth Conservation Camp is owned and operated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. We are part of the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network with our focus on creating the next generation that cares. EYCC offers 10 conservation-oriented programs each summer to children who have completed 3rd grade to high school. We are a sleep away summer camp; therefore staff and children live onsite from Sunday to Friday of each week. Daily activities include Archery, Swimming, Paddle Sports, and Fishing. The position includes free housing and meals for the entire summer camp season!

Job Description

Maintain medical records.

Dispense morning, afternoon, and evening medications.

Prepare health care records for each week.

Update staff on health care records for each week.

Maintain stock of health center supplies.

Provide medical care during office hours.

Be available via telehealth for consultation as needed.

Work Schedule

This schedule is an example and can change depending on staff availability. Full nurse schedule will be discussed and negotiated during the interview stage.

Sunday:

12:00 pm Staff Meeting

2:30 pm - 5:00 pm Camper Check In (Check in Medications)

7:00 pm Evening Medications

7:30 pm - 6:30 am On Call (available via telehealth for complex medical issues)

Monday - Thursday

6:30 am Morning Medications

8:00 am – 10:00 am Office Hours

10:00 am – 12:00 pm On Call (available via telehealth for complex medical issues)

1:00 pm Afternoon Medications

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Office Hours

4:00 pm – 6:30 pm On Call (available via telehealth for complex medical issues)

7:30 pm Evening Medications

8:00 pm – 6:30 am On Call (available via telehealth for complex medical issues)

Friday

7:30 am Morning Medications

8:00 am - 2:30 pm Office Hours

3:00 pm Off

Saturday Off

Pay: FLAT RATE $1000/Week paid on a bi weekly basis.

Temporary Position

Starting: May 26th 2024

Ending: July 26th 2024

Applicant must be available for the entire employment period.
