Unit Description:
The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is one of 54 cancer centers designated as a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute. With 16 locations throughout Michigan and Ohio and proudly a part of McLaren Health Care, Karmanos is the largest provider of cancer care and research in Michigan.
The Oncology nurse provides specialized care to patients with various types of cancers.
The Oncology team uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
The Oncology units consist of inpatient departments and outpatient clinics, serving diverse populations.
Qualifications - External
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of Michigan.
