martHire is hiring a Regional Sales Manager (West Coast) for a Manufacturing company in Auburn. Candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of outside Sales experience and over 5 years of experience within the baking or similar industry. Strong technical skills including ERP and Excel needed. Ability to travel up to 75% is required.
Salary
$85k - $105k DOE + bonuses

Shift

This person is responsible for the distribution and sales of the company's products and services throughout the West Coast. They are responsible for meeting the sales and margin targets of the organization through effective planning, and proactively engaging with customers and distributors to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Function & Responsibilities:
- Develop self to become/remain an expert in company product and services
- Full cycle sales
- Fulfillment, transit and install coordination on industrial projects
- Customer satisfaction follow-up on industrial projects
- Develop and maintain an organized means of tracking orders to follow-up with PM, Rebuild or Replacement at the appropriate times
- Strive to understand customer applications and needs & effectively provide solutions with our products and services
- Provide the necessary support to distributors to enable them to generate market leads and close new deals
- Follow-up with individual, focused product training and marketing efforts as needed to best support the distributors immediate needs
- Manage individual travel by creating a plan, communicating and acquiring approval, and conducting travel in an effective but efficient manner
- Document customer interactions and maintain data related to activities/leads
- Obtain product and service performance details and feed back to business Quality Management System toward continuous improvement
- Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of the company’s relationship with them
- Recommend service and product enhancements to improve sales potential, profitability and customer satisfaction
- Keep current and report on economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand, and competitors to maintain sales volume
- Execute the plan for the achievement of individual and divisional targets in alignment with the strategies and policies of the company
- Assist in establishing sales objectives by projecting expected sales volume and forecasting and developing sales quotas for territories and the region
- Follow up on leads/inquiry calls promptly to secure high closing and conversion rates

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of outside sales experience
- Over 5 years of experience within baking/food industry
- Project Lead / Coordinator experience
- Advanced experience in ERP software data acquisition and analysis
- Advanced MS Excel skills
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- Travel (up to 75%) - customers, distributors, shows and expos, and company factory/plant
- Hands on equipment setup, diagnostics, and application assistance
- Remote Work – Available and reachable during normal office hours
