Zalkin Americas is seeking Regional Sales Manager to contribute to the success of the organization focused on relationship building and expert level consulting. This is a high travel position and is not targeting the aftermarket business that comes into Zalkin through normal channels, this position will focus on winning back lost market share and educating customers on the new products and services offered by Zalkin with the ultimate goal to grow Zalkin revenue and EBITDA.   The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Director of Life Cycle Management.

  • Drive proactive sales of performance-based aftermarket upgrades and retrofits.
  • Drive proactive sales of maintenance agreements, audits, rebuild services and spare parts kits.
  • Drive capping head and chuck sales to regain lost market share to 3rd party companies.
  • Develop market for retrofit of Zalkin capping heads on non-Zalkin machinery.
  • Account management of key accounts as assigned by management.
  • Partner with global marketing to develop world-class marketing collateral.
  • Drive value-added cap application testing to demonstrate Zalkin application superiority.
  • Drive machinery sales by looking at replacement machine opportunities.
  • Utilize Salesforce for all customer interactions.
  • Share key market findings within the Zalkin and ProMach organization.

  • Ability to travel 50%-75% of the time required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or Technical Degree with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with industrial machinery parts sales.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical BOM’s and drawings.
  • Ability to grasp basic technical aspects of machinery operation.
  • Excellent customer relationship building skills with strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and solve internal and customer facing problems.
  • Persuasive and proactive with ability to work in a high-paced environment.
  • Experience with a CRM system; Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Self-motivated, sense of urgency, personable, customer-focused, and well organized.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English speaking would be a plus.
