The MRA Group is seeking a full-time Regional Rehabilitation Therapy Consultant who will be responsible for consulting, advisory, and management services for in-house therapy programs within multi-site SNFs and IL/ALs in Pennsylvania and California. The successful candidate will consult to client communities to optimize the quality of care, patient outcomes, efficiency, program growth and financial viability within the therapy departments.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of three years of multi-site therapy management operations experience and five years of clinical practice experience within skilled nursing facilities, CCRCs, and senior living communities.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent leadership, communication, organization, and time management skills, and must have a degree from an accredited Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy program, as well as active state license.
Responsibilities:
1. Consult, advise, and assist as needed on Part A (PDPM) / Skilled MCO therapy delivery.
2. Consult, advise, and assist as needed on Long-term Care programming initiatives and reimbursement strategies.
3. Consult, advise, and assist as needed to mentor and monitor the Rehab Program Manager’s job function, duties, and performance.
4. Consult, advise, and assist as needed in the management of the financial operations of the therapy department.
5. Consult, advise, and monitor therapy staff clinical productivity and billable efficiency targets for Part A, Part B LTC, and Outpatient Clinic therapy.
6. Consult, advise, and assist as needed to monitor and report on all therapy department revenues and costs by level of care (Part A / skilled MCO; Long Term Care; Assisted / Independent Living / Outpatient).
7. Consult, advise, and assist as needed to monitor therapy staff mix targets and strategies to achieve optimum therapist to assistant ratio.
8. Consult, advise, and assist in the implementation, monitoring, and reporting on financial projections, expectations, targets, and performance.
9. Consult, advise, and assist as needed in the guidance of therapy staff disciplinary procedures/processes.
10. Consult, advise, and assist as needed with training and implementation of advanced clinical programs.
11. Consult, advise, and assist as needed in the guidance and development of Rehab Department policies and procedures.
12. Consult, advise, and assist as needed to provide guidance in managing, monitoring, and reporting on patient transition from Part A to home health and back to outpatient therapy.
13. Consult, advise, and assist as needed to interface with Physiatry and Nurse Practitioner services to carry out the Medical Rehab Model (as available/requested).
14. Consult, advise, and assist as needed with recruiting therapy staff.
15. Consult, advise, and assist as needed in denials management program.
16. Consult, advise, and assist as needed in denials avoidance program.
17. Consult, advise, and assist as needed in documentation training for therapy staff – auditing documentation for proper reimbursement and compliance.
18. Consult, advise, and assist the therapy team as needed with nurse support and educational training.
19. Consult and advise on census development and therapy caseload development initiatives.
20. Consult, advise, and assist as needed in the development, training, implementation, monitoring, and reporting on key therapy clinical outcomes.
21. Consult, advise, and assist as needed in the development, monitoring, and reporting of a budget for the rehab services department.
22. Consult, advise, and assist as needed with therapy equipment and supplies management.
23. Consult, advise, and assist as needed with the development, training, implementation, ongoing monitoring, auditing, and reporting of an effective Compliance Program for the Rehab Services department and in line with OIG targeted areas – regulatory compliance oversight.
24. Prepare Rehab Administrative Briefing Reports on Key Metrics for the therapy department on agreed upon intervals (i.e., Quarterly).

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
