Reports to Western US Director
Regional Manager, Facilities- Mid-west, SWMT/Texas is leadership role with our US Workplace Team. This role will be responsible for working with the Western U.S. Director of Facilities overseeing and supporting Facilities teams within assigned area. Duties include managing day-to-day facility operations, managing facilities budgets, directing routine maintenance, responding to emergencies, managing risk, managing facilities contractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to building security and safety policies, overseeing processes, and measuring performance toward continuity for assigned office locations. The successful candidate will also provide strong leadership in coordinating resources to maximize the successful operations of properties and ensure a proactive management to meet WSP's long-term goals.
Your Impact
- Lead the facilities component of the offices, ensuring that responsibilities are documented, efficiencies are achieved, and processes are streamlined to achieve client-focused outcomes.
- Manage all facilities systems to ensure they are effective and cater to a growing business.
- Support and manage the effective functioning of the regional facilities team.
- Manage budgets to ensure costs are managed effectively.
- Manage all building(s) matters, including contractors, maintenance and repairs, service disruptions, and signage.
- Management of office(s) space allocation and seating plans.
- Management of agile workplace plans (where applicable).
- Assist with project management of internal moves and small fit-out projects or relocations if required.
- Liaison with building management and after-hours access and issues.
- Provide technical advice on process equipment to Operations and Facility groups as required.
- Verify and ensure the monitoring of equipment and building areas such as HVAC, boiler systems, chillers, compressors, roof systems, and janitorial services.
- Oversees physical security infrastructure, access controls, and policies.
- Manage corrective measures from audits/assessments to ensure compliance with HSE obligations and policies.
- Respond to and rectify all HSE issues related to buildings, furniture, and office equipment.
- Actively monitor and coordinate emergency evacuation exercises.
- Procurement of all ergonomic equipment/furniture as recommended by the HSE team.
- Work closely with procurement to manage all facilities-related suppliers, including all paperwork, to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Liaise with and collaborate with other facilities managers to ensure consistency of service delivery nationally. Provide mentoring and support to ensure team members are maximizing their potential.
- Coordination and training of facilities staff.
- In collaboration with HR, manage the recruitment of Facilities staff.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Business Administration (or equivalent).
- Minimum 7 + years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, MS SharePoint, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

- Travel 30%
- FMP or CFM.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience in facilities build-outs and move management.
- Experience with management of third-party maintenance vendors. Experience with the management of a portfolio of locations.
- Experience in aspects of hazardous waste management.
