Loyola Medicine is seeking an experienced, resourceful, and highly motivated Regional Administrative Director, Laboratory Services to oversee the region's laboratory operations, administration, and quality programs. As the Regional Administrative Director, you will have a pivotal role in guiding future laboratory strategy and growth.
Loyola Medicine has made significant investments across all their laboratories including the recent construction of a state-of-the-art regional laboratory on the Loyola University Medical Center's campus. The ideal candidate will be able to capitalize on these investments to expand the test menu, grow outreach business, and lead regional quality improvement projects to ensure high quality patient testing.
What you will do:
- Direct regional standardization, optimization and implementation of clinical standards, workflows, and policies within new and existing platforms.
- Serve to maintain Laboratory Services in meeting CLIA and CAP requirements at all locations of service.
- Provide leadership development, oversees development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Coordinates meetings and committees related to the support of patient care and staff development.
- In collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, develops and coordinates workgroups to address organizational goals.
- Develop and monitors performance indicators/metrics for assigned departments/services.
- Support Loyola Medicine compliance efforts, reports and resolves areas of non-compliance and maintain confidentiality.
- Protects organizational assets and exhibits consistent application of personal/business ethics and integrity and facilitates excellent communication, internally and externally.
- Evaluates business initiatives and recommends process/system redesign and new services.
- They are responsible for the oversight and performance of laboratory employees to deliver quality test results to physicians and patients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science, Biology, Microbiology or related field.
- 10+ years of work experience
- 5+ years of managerial experience.
- Laboratory management with regional oversight and progressive responsibility in leadership roles.
- Experience in regionalized lab outreach.
- Knowledgeable of laboratory billing, reimbursement and licensure
- Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent
