Regional Account Associate Director - Kaiser
This role is pivotal in ensuring and enhancing the accessibility of Bayer's pharmaceutical products within Kaiser Permanente's regions, with a focus on integrating Bayer's products into Kaiser's preferred treatment pathways. The position is dedicated to leveraging existing contracts effectively and championing stakeholder advocate development as a core responsibility. This role embodies the Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) principle by actively developing and advocating for stakeholder interests, promoting innovative, flexible, and collaborative strategies to navigate market access challenges and meet patient healthcare needs. Scope: Geographical Scope: US Kaiser Regions (Multi-State) Strategic Focus: Secure regional product access through formulary inclusion, navigate reimbursement landscapes, drive contract pull-through, and leverage insights for future access strategies, with a strong emphasis on developing and advocating for stakeholder interests.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Regional Account Associate Director - Kaiser, are to:
- Execute Customer Strategy & Business Development for Enhanced Access:
- Formulary Inclusion: Develop and execute a regional business plan that ensures Bayer products are included in Kaiser’s formulary and actively involves stakeholder advocates in shaping access strategies;
- Strategic Access Planning: Contribute to and fully own the National Account Plan, incorporating stakeholder advocate development to align with Bayer’s objectives within Kaiser;
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advocate Development: Deepen engagement with Kaiser’s Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and decision-makers as stakeholders and advocates, fostering a partnership that champions patient access and aligns with Bayer's and Kaiser's goals;
- Internal Collaboration, Coordination, and Alignment for Access:
- Cross-functional Teamwork: Encourage collaboration among brand squads, AGMs, Medical Affairs, and DGOS, focusing on integrating stakeholder advocate perspectives into access initiatives;
- Insight Sharing: Apply DSO principles to share insights on stakeholder advocate views, customer behavior, and payer trends, promoting strategies that reflect the integrated system's needs;
- Performance Management and Resource Allocation for Optimal Access:
- Innovation in Access & Stakeholder Advocacy: Cultivate a culture that focuses on access strategies and values stakeholder advocates' continuous development and incorporation, enhancing product accessibility and patient outcomes;
- Oversee Pull-through Effort at Kaiser:
- Work closely with product field forces and Kaiser stakeholders to drive sales of Bayer products, ensuring stakeholder advocate development is critical to engagement strategies;
- The primary location for this role is Residence-Based in the US. Candidates who reside in Northern California (or within reasonable commuting distance) are strongly preferred. Candidates located in the Pacific Northwest also preferred.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred;
- Minimum of 8+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar healthcare sales and account management, with a strong preference for direct experience in access management within Kaiser, HP/Regional PBM, Payer, or IDN environments. Experience in stakeholder advocacy is highly beneficial;
- Strategic and access-focused mindset;
- Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement and policy;
- Results-driven approach, exceptional stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills, trustworthy communication, and the ability to innovate collaboratively This role is designed for a strategic, adaptable, and access-oriented professional committed to leveraging Dynamic Shared Ownership and stakeholder advocate development. The successful candidate will be pivotal in achieving exceptional patient outcomes and business results by driving access innovation, fostering strategic relationships, and navigating complex reimbursement landscapes with a stakeholder-centric approach.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $155,155 to $232,732. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
