The Recruitment & Talent Coordinator is a key member of FusionEd?s school support team. Your main objective is to fill the schools with staff who fit our culture and feel proud to be there.
The Recruitment & Talent Coordinator oversees the recruiting process and works diligently to attract top talent candidates?proactively cultivating the talent pipeline through existing sources and methods and relationships you help to build; finding creative ways to connect with the best talent, evaluating candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, and ensuring that new hires have a great experience joining the team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Creates innovative advertisements and ensures all job boards are up to date, including head hunting if applicable
- Builds and follows a regular recruitment event calendar, including attending job fairs, building relationships with colleges and other parent organizations
- Screens applications submitted to determine suitability for employment
- Initiates contact with qualified candidates and conducts pre-interviews, telephonically or in-person where applicable
- Coordinates round two interviews at school/senior leadership level and follow up with each interviewer as to their thoughts on the candidate?s suitability.
- Works with HR Manager to ensure all interview questions are up to date
- Contact references and perform background checks, including contacting prior employment references, and obtaining copies of school transcripts and licensures, to gain adequate information on which to base a selection and compensation decision.
- Create job offers to qualified candidates for employment and follow up with a written employment offer letter to be signed in acceptance by the candidate.
- Maintain pre-hire background checks through FBI and BCI.
- Ensures all staff have current FBI/BCI background checks by running annual reports in April and contacting staff to assist with the background check process
- Act as liaison with area employment agencies, temporary agencies, search firms, and advertising agencies as needed.
- Sends out weekly communication updates to Principals, hiring managers, and department leads about recruitment and retention progress.
- Ensures all staff are appropriately licensed through the Ohio Department of Education, staying up to date on changes/requirements/eligibility throughout the year
- Works with new or returning staff on licensure renewals and applications by running annual reports in April and contacting staff regarding their expiring license.
- Maintains and it the point of contact for the CBI endorsement program for the entire Network
- Performs career center outreach to create and maintain relationships with College/University career centers for recruiting top talent
- Works with the School Performance Team to ensure performance reviews are completed and returned to HR and filed in personnel files, quarterly
- Performs other duties as assigned
