Job Description
US law firm is looking to hire a Recruitment & Engagement Manager to join their team in either the NY or DC office.
A minimum of 3-5 years of recruiting and DE&I experience with a law firm
Experience with viRecruit a plus
Responsibilities:
Develop effective firmwide recruiting strategies and searches, present to attorneys on interviewing best practices, organize and analyze firmwide recruiting-related data, and implement strategic outreach and communications to build the firm brand.
Plan and manage overall attorney and staff recruitment efforts to meet the Firm’s strategic objectives and practice needs.
Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to recruiting, equity and engagement, and professional development, and recommend creative approaches to drive continuous improvement; develop, implement, and maintain relevant policies and procedures; and oversee the Firm’s Associate Mentoring Program.
Serve as “administrator” of the Firm’s Equity and Engagement (E&E) Committee by supporting, collaborating, and driving the committee’s work; provide observations, input, support, and guidance on engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging issues at the Firm and partner with leadership to contribute to Firm communications relating such matters; engage in open conversations with the committee regarding projects, priorities, and tasks; work with and support the E&E committee to ensure that commitments are maintained and collaborate with committee members and leadership to determine how best to measure results.
Partner with the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer and others on the People team to recommend practices and processes to attract, develop, and retain the best talent; implement orientation programs and integration systems for new hires; and proactively assume other duties as necessary.
Education and Experience:
You have a minimum of 3-5 years of recruiting and DE&I experience with a law firm.
You have experience cultivating a respectful and productive work environment and helping organizations support the recruiting and success of employees from under-represented groups.
You have an interest in (and experience with) diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at a law firm.
You have a proven track record of developing and leading initiatives and process improvements in a highly collaborative environment.
Experience with viRecruit a plus.
