Duties
- Creates and/or edits position postings and job advertisements. Places postings and advertisements with various sources.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining postings in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Attends job fairs and visits college campuses and trade schools as appropriate.
- Schedules interviews, compiles packets for interview panel members and for interviewees, coordinates and conducts reference checks, proctor selection testing, coordinates travel for out of state applicants, coordinates background checks, post-offer physicals and drug screens and compilation of offer packets. Ensures that new hire paperwork is compliant with federal regulations.
- Initiates onboarding documents and process.
- Assists applicants with inquiries and concerns in a courteous and timely manner.
- Coordinates and maintains archiving of recruitment documents and files in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Safeguards confidential information as specified in the Illinois Municipal Code.
- Provides backup coverage to HR reception in HR Administrative Assistant’s absence.
Qualifications
- Three years of administrative experience in recruitment, or related field.
- Associate’s degree in business, Human Resources or a related field
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), such as NeoGov.
